Apothecary
Healing is an active relationship with your body, with the world, with community, the spirits, and the cosmos. There are an infinite number of ways to access health, but herbs, and apothecary items, flowers, seeds, the fragrance, aroma, and medicine of nature are uniquely powerful. However, by living in a capitalist society, the market has made these necessary medicinal gifts, freely given by our Mother Earth, expensive, out of reach, hard to access, and often difficult to understand or discredited entirely by Western Medicine. Because of these falsely erected barriers, it is our joy to grow the traditional medicinal plants and provide them to the community free of charge because they are important for everyone to access a healthy and balanced life.

Community Supported Agriculture
Linking the ability to eat and money has always been destructive and wasteful. There is more than enough food and bounty for every person in DC to eat beautiful, delicious, nutritious meals that are culturally appropriate and crafted from the same seeds the ancestors have been utilizing for millenia. Even in super markets, the vegetables they grow are not the same that our bodies have known forever. The fruits and veggies were often grown in nutrient poor soil and are now less nutritious than they potentially should be. This is why it’s so important to encourage creating a healthy soil system, growing traditional and ancestral crops, and distributing them to their ancestral family/descendants. We currently distribute food through our own self developed CSA food share, and partnerships with local organizations including Kyanite Kitchen and DC Fridge Collective. Our Zine
We recognize that as queer, trans, gender non conforming, black, brown, people of color, our stories and our roles within community have always been profoundly powerful. For millennia societies all over the world treasured us, until recent prejudice, hatred, and sickness came to take away our body’s rights to be seen, beloved, and celebrated. The Zine that we have crafted was born out of a deep love for our community, for our Momma Earth, for the joyousness of existence and the Zine was created for us, by us, by selectively including only QTGNCBIPOC art, imagination, voice, and presence. Please enjoy this offering.
